Job SummaryChartwells Higher Education is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst at California State University-Monterey Bay located in Seaside, CA.
This individual will assist with the end to end process of Electronic Accounts Payable & receivable, which will provide the opportunity to initiate communication, ensure resolution of accounting issues, and allow our teams to respond to requests and questions related to our financial projections.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities : Provides accounting support to the onsite management teamReviews daily deposits, credit card and cash reportsMaintains inventory and cost control proceduresAssists with monthly, quarterly, annual reports, including monthly fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distributionWill perform basic accounting tasks such as entering invoices and sales into the general ledger system, ensuring files are complete and maintained, handles accounts receivable and payable duties Analyzes financial data to maximize revenues and profitsPrepare operating forecastsTracks and maintains monthly P / L and balance sheet activityPreferred Qualifications : 4 year degree preferredA minimum of two years if experience with revenue control and cash handling responsibilitiesAccounting experience in foodservice or retail industry preferredAbility to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and analysesAdept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial informationExperience with POS, cash and credit card reportsComputer skills : proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel;
