JOB SUMMARY :

Under supervision of Program Director and, if applicable, under general direction of Coordinator of Program Services, plans, organizes, promotes, implements, and evaluates programs for club teens.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES : Prepare youth for success

• Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promotes and stimulates daily teen programs participation as well as participation in designated national and special events programs. Programming should be appropriate, in correlation with our organizational values, and yield active engagement from members and staff involved.
• Orients new members to teen programs, special events, and opportunities as well as to club safety, program and disciplinary rules.
• Provides guidance and role modeling to members, which includes adherence to dress code.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS : Education

Experience

o Experience in working with teens and knowledge of youth development.

o Formal training, knowledge and / or experience in programming for teen interest and participation.

Skills

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS :

Daily contact with club staff, club members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate and deliver programs. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. Travel to special events and field trips required. Must be able to work daily afternoon / evening hours. Occasional weekend work required to accomplish objectives.
