Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure all components which require Quality Control validation through the practices associated with measuring are within specifications noted on Drawings, Work Orders and Sales Contract Review
  • Document results of measurements during validation using internal dimensional inspection form and acceptable measuring devices
  • Comprehend drawing dimensions and tolerance levels
  • Generate Nonconformance Material Reports, CPAR and SCAR
  • Conduct first articles on components which require validation of measurements pre / prior to next operation
  • Unless otherwise specified, final inspection of product will be performed according with Client AQL Sampling Table FCD-0070
  • Conduct hardness testing on metallic plates and casting inserts
  • Conduct Rheometer testing on rubber
  • Verify all traceability is to customer, industry and Client requirements
  • Assist with other functions of the QMS as training and management instruct
  • Verify that all operations and inspection steps have been completed in accordance with the instructions on the Work Order and / or other customer specifications
  • Sign and date all associated areas within the internal Work Order process
  • Assist in other departments as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of inspection and quality methods
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate and occasionally spend several hours at a time in a production environment
  • Ability to sit and function in an office setting performing computer tasks using human interface equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.)
  • Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate self and Associates
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills across varied cultures and diverse workforce
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with difficult company or Associate issues
  • Requires initiative, problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills to interact with Associates at all levels
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints and CAD drawings
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Be able to lift up to 35 Ibs. repetitively
  • Possess basic math skills and be able to read a tape measure and caliper
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving history
