Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Construction Engineer 3 position at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.
- Pay : $65 / hr – $70 / hr
- Location : 100% Onsite – Los Alamos, NM (TA-55)
- Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship Required
- Work Schedule : 4 / 10s preferred; flexible with other shifts
- Clearance : DOE Q Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain

As a senior member of the Construction Engineering team, you’ll ensure that complex installation and maintenance projects at LANL are executed safely and precisely according to technical, regulatory, and national standards. Your leadership and technical expertise will directly support U.S. nuclear infrastructure reliability and mission readiness.
Responsibilities And Duties
Oversee field construction activities for conformance with approved drawings and codesLead coordination between design engineers, field personnel, and contractorsMentor junior engineers and field staff in project execution and complianceConduct material take-offs and ensure procurement aligns with project needsPropose and implement field process improvements to enhance efficiency and safetyMinimum Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of construction engineering principles and field verification practicesStrong experience resolving technical challenges during project executionProficient in ASME, NEC, ACI, and other technical codes and standardsDemonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organizational and communication skillsDesired Skills
EIT or PE licenseFamiliarity with DOE and LANL standards (Conduct of Engineering, ESM)Experience in nuclear, laboratory, or high-consequence environmentsBackground in electrical, mechanical, or glovebox installation systemsEducation And Experience Requirements
