Assistant Director Of Nursing

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing staff and maintain the highest standards of patient care within our facility. This leadership position requires a compassionate and experienced professional who is dedicated to improving the quality of care for residents. The ADON will assist in developing and implementing nursing policies, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a collaborative and resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities :

• Support the DON in managing the nursing department to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.
• Collaborate with the DON and interdisciplinary teams to oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
• Ensure proper documentation of medical records and adherence to MDS (Minimum Data Set) and OASIS requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering hospice care, home care, acute care, and nursing home services.
• Advocate for resident rights and participate in training staff on these principles.
• Assist in conducting regular training sessions for nursing staff on best practices related to physiology, anatomy, and patient care.
• Monitor and manage staffing levels, assist with recruitment, and participate in performance evaluations for nursing personnel.
