About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Job Duration : 28 weeks

Shift : 6 : 30 AM - 7 : 00 PM, 36 hours (3x12 hour shifts)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required

License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Certifications :

BLS-AHA

ACLS-AHA

Telemetry

Preferred Education :

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Preferred Experience :

• Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and other various atherectomy devices
• Vascular and / or Neuro diagnostic and interventions

Must-Have :

• Experience in Cath Lab
• Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI

Job Description :

• Responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health framework
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Schedule Notes :

• Must be willing to cover on-call for the cardiac catheterization lab
• On-call coverage may include supporting cardiac procedures off-hours and on weekends, approximately every 5 weeks. The on-call requirement, when scheduled, is 7-day coverage, with nurses breaking down the call over 2 weeks.

Language Requirement :

• Proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak)
