Job Summary :

The Work Area Lead supports a small sub-area of the distribution center by overseeing daily operations, employee training, productivity, and order quality. This role ensures accurate inventory management and meets daily shipping targets across retailer and stock transfer orders. Candidates must be available to work during Thanksgiving and the critical period between November 22 and December 12, with potential for full-time conversion based on performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Assign employees to workstations and ensure workload distribution based on daily pickup times.

Monitor team performance and ensure productivity goals are met, escalating issues to the supervisor as needed.

Train new employees on safety procedures and departmental work instructions.

Inspect and audit orders or finished goods for accuracy, content, and specifications using appropriate systems.

Establish and maintain quality standards for order and material handlers.

Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies, escalating to the supervisor when necessary.

Lead investigations into issues affecting KPIs and assist in root cause analysis of quality and accuracy concerns.

Perform and document random audits to ensure adherence to standardized processes and Zero Defect goals.

Conduct inspections to ensure conformity to process specifications and participate in non-conformance investigations.

Perform clerical duties such as record keeping, reporting, and daily performance recaps using computer systems.

Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Support special projects or perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least one year of experience in Distribution or Quality Coordination preferred.

Proven leadership skills in team building, safety, and quality management.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive KPI results.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Previous experience supervising warehouse or logistics teams.

Background in continuous improvement or Six Sigma environments.

Prior exposure to beauty, retail, or consumer goods distribution.

Required Skills :

Leadership and team coordination

Inventory management and auditing

Safety compliance and quality assurance

Preferred Skills :

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

SAP or similar ERP systems

Root cause analysis and process documentation

Additional Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Problem-solving and troubleshooting

Ability to work overtime and weekends (especially during NovemberDecember peak)

Attention to detail and adherence to GMP standards

Shift / Hours :

1st Shift : 7 : 00am 3 : 30pm (4 openings)

2nd Shift : 4 : 00pm 12 : 30am (4 openings)

Must be available during the Thanksgiving period and weekends between November 22 December 12, 2025.
