Description

The Programs Director is responsible for the strategic development and fulfillment of international and domestic healthcare program services, with accountability for driving mission impact, and for growing net earned revenue through program implementation, in collaboration with MedShares Development team.Through strong working relationships with operations and other staff support, this role ensures that programs are effectively designed, successfully implemented, and efficiently managed to grow the impact of MedShares mission.The Programs Director will cultivate community and sector relationships and build networks to enable mission delivery.This role is a member of the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) and has direct reports responsible for medical products ordering and distribution, and biomedical services deployment.The successful person in this role will be resourceful & agile, able to handle multiple priorities, be a persuasive communicator, and enjoy collaborating with others to deliver the MedShare mission.

Status : Full-time, Salaried, Exempt

Location : Decatur, GA; Hybrid eligible

Duties and Responsibilities :

Strategic Program Management

Ensure all programs align with organizational mission and strategic priorities

Develop and maintain best practices and guidelines for all programs

Lead outreach to safety net clinics, medical missions, and NGOs to grow and expand participation in programs

Respond to, evaluate, and approve appropriate applications for potential program partnerships

Develop domestic networks to enable effective deployment of disaster readiness & response

Create and facilitate regular routines and processes to track project implementation and ongoing execution

Assess and manage risks to ensure program deliverables are met

Identify and develop new initiatives and program improvements to grow program impacts and effectiveness

Drive submissions of stakeholder / partner agency stories and impact

Lead regular assessment of performance indicators, and report program impact and performance data.

Represent the organization at community events and act as primary contact for relevant sector associations.

Lead continuous improvement to increase mission impacts, net revenue, and partner engagement

Financial Management

Create annual programs budgeting, building revenue and cost forecasts to ensure optimized program delivery

Maintain and monitor active revenue pipelines with distribution, services, and / or project initiatives income

Set and manage earned revenue fee structures along with relevant discounting offerings to optimize impacts

Collaborate with MedShares Development team to create new project budgets

Collaborate with MedShares Finance team to prepare partner contracts and / or MOUs

Review and approve relevant functional invoices according to standards

Leadership & Development

Plan, organize, and lead MeShares Biomedical Services and Logistics team

Effectively collaborate cross functionally to optimize end-to-end processes and deliver mission objectives

Ensure proper and effective use of management tools, including Impact metric tracking

Ensure the effective selection, training, and supervision of all staff roles, including intern or temporary staff

Provide appropriate development and routine performance management for team members

Lead continuous improvement within all programmatic processes

Support special projects and perform other related duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in business, nonprofit management, or related field

7+ years work experience in humanitarian aid distribution or non-profit programs management

3+ years experience managing others

Project management experience with a strong attention to detail

English fluency, with demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal competency, able to balance varied stakeholder interests with diplomacy and tact

Data-savvy and proficient in all Microsoft Office and related applications

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends, and support time zone differences

Able to travel up to 5% annually

Experience working with interns or skilled volunteers is a plus

Knowledge of medical products and their usage is a plus

Multi-cultural and international experience a plus

Passion for community service, international development, and MedShares mission
