Controller

Russ Hadick & Associates, Inc has partnered with a Cincinnati client to help them search and qualify candidates for their Controller to oversee the financial operations of a distribution and service company and its subsidiary companies.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Management and Reporting :

Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial reporting.

Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management.

Accounting Operations :

Work closely with Operations and Sales teams with monthly activity and sales orders.

Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Monitor and implement changes in accounting regulations relevant to distribution and service industries.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Optimize working capital and oversee credit and collections processes.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or closely related discipline is required. Master’s degree or CPA are highly desired.

10+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in a distribution, logistics or service company.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage or Salesforce is a plus..

Strong leadership and communication abilities.
