JCW is currently working on behalf of a leading specialty insurance carrier looking to add a Senior / AVP Commercial Surety Underwriter in a fully remote role with national reach and strong growth potential. In this role you'll take ownership of a $2M+ Midwest-focused book of business-primarily account-based with some transactional exposure-and help expand and deepen broker relationships across the region.

Responsibilities :

  • Underwrite a range of accounts from startups to Fortune 500 companies
  • Manage underwriting for new submissions, renewals, and credit drawers with appropriate collateral / security
  • Develop new business by building and maintaining strong broker relationships

Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial surety underwriting
  • Strong relationships in the Midwestern territory
