Position Responsibilities
Director, AI Business Transformation
About the Role
We are actively seeking an experienced Director of Business Transformation to lead cross-functional AI initiatives that fundamentally transform how we work across the enterprise. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering with business teams throughout the organization to identify opportunities, reimagine processes, design new ways of working, and establish measurement frameworks that demonstrate tangible business impact. You will be expected to operate comfortably and effectively at the Executive and VP level, managing multiple high complexity, high risk and business critical projects. This role reports to the VP, AI Center of Excellence and Business Transformation, and partners closely with business executives and cross-functional teams to drive our internal AI transformation program forward.
Transformation Leadership & Execution
Lead end-to-end transformation initiatives that leverage AI to redesign business processes, enhance productivity, and create new operational capabilities
Partner with business leaders across functions to understand pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities where AI can drive meaningful change
Manage multiple concurrent transformation projects, navigating organizational complexity to remove barriers and maintain momentum
Opportunity Identification & Assessment
Systematically identify and evaluate AI opportunities across the enterprise through process analysis, stakeholder interviews, and data-driven assessment
Conduct current-state process mapping to uncover inefficiencies and areas ripe for AI-driven improvement
Assess feasibility, impact, and effort for potential AI use cases, creating business cases that articulate value and implementation approach
Build and maintain a pipeline of transformation initiatives aligned with enterprise AI strategy and business priorities
Process Design & Optimization
Design future-state processes that effectively integrate AI capabilities while optimizing for user experience, efficiency, and business outcomes
Develop detailed process flows, user journeys, and operating models that define how teams will work differently with AI-enabled capabilities
Establish change management and adoption strategies that ensure new processes and tools are embraced by end users
Performance Measurement & Value Realization
Design comprehensive measurement frameworks that track transformation progress, adoption metrics, and business impact
Establish baseline metrics and KPIs, build dashboards, and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess value realization
Translate measurement data into compelling narratives that demonstrate ROI and inform future transformation decisions
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
Build trusted relationships with business leaders, process owners, and frontline teams across the organization
Serve as a bridge between business units and technical teams, facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions that drive consensus and decision-making
Champion AI adoption by highlighting success stories and demonstrating value
Develop enablement programs that build organizational capability
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in business transformation, process improvement, or management consulting with proven track record leading successful enterprise change initiatives
Experience with AI technologies including generative AI, AI agents, and automation platforms, with ability to assess technical feasibility and engage credibly with technical teams
Strong background in process design and optimization methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, business process reengineering, or service design)
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects involving diverse stakeholder groups and competing priorities
Experience designing and implementing performance measurement frameworks that demonstrate business value and drive accountability
Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, with ability to build trust across all organizational levels and influence without authority
Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities, including building compelling business cases and using data to drive decisions
Understanding of change management principles and what drives successful adoption of new ways of working
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Experience working within AI Centers of Excellence, transformation offices, or innovation teams
Background in management consulting with exposure to multiple industries and transformation methodologies
Certification in process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Prosci Change Management)
Direct experience implementing AI solutions and leading AI-driven transformation initiatives
Compensation Information
The U.S. salary range for this position is $117500.00 - $205750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
