Position Overview

Performs the following in an accurate, timely manner : performs vascular lab studies; prepares proper documentation of studies rendered; provides reports; and rotates through multiple locations. Demonstrates effective customer service skills and a professional manner. Adheres to practice mission and values and applicable regulations.

Supervision Received

Reports directly to the Vascular Ultrasound Technical Director and respective Office Manager.

Associated Requirements

The following requirements are essential to this position :

• Evidence of credentials for registered vascular technologist, or proof of being RVT eligible. If not an RVT but eligible, employee will have 1 year to successfully pass the required exam for credentials required to maintain employment
• Maintains current credentials along with required CME documentation
• Certificate of completion from accredited school of ultrasound
• CPR certification and annual or required renewal
• Experience working with computer applications
• Knowledge of business office procedures
• Working knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Knowledge of principles for providing customer service
• Ability to operate computers and other office equipment including photocopier and printer
• Ability to handle the following physical requirements : sitting for long periods of time; stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies; occasional lifting of files or paper weighing up to 30 lbs.; manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 60 wpm; using a computer screen for long periods; keep up with assignments in a high volume environment with many interruptions
