POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Performance Campaign Manager, Memberships is a strategic, data-driven leader responsible for designing and optimizing full-funnel campaign execution across the Membership lifecycle — from lead capture through trial, first camp, paid membership, and retention. This role manages national and local campaign strategies across CRM, paid media, SEO, and in-gym channels to accelerate funnel velocity, trial-to-membership conversion, retention, and referrals.
Working closely with Performance Marketing team, IT, and Ops, this leader ensures national initiatives (e.g., Start Strong, Fall Promo, National Grand Openings, Kids Camp) are executed on time and with measurable results. The role balances enterprise-level campaign execution with franchisee enablement, ensuring scalable adoption of lifecycle campaigns at the local level.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Funnel Membership Campaign Execution
- Lead and optimize integrated membership campaigns across CRM (LoopSpark / App), paid, earned, owned, in-gym, and web channels.
- Partner with franchisees, Ops, and HQ teams to execute Kids Camp, NGO, and promo-specific campaigns (Start Strong, Fall Promo).
- Analyze funnel metrics and use A / B testing for targeting, creative, and channel optimization.
- Align campaign strategy with master calendar and ensure all initiatives meet milestones and are executed with franchise ready assets.
- Engineer discovery campaigns with content designed for Featured Snippets, People Also Ask, Perspectives, and AI Overview inclusion.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
Report and analyze full funnel campaign and SEO metrics, including lead volume, CPL, CPA, ROAS, conversion rates, and organic traffic growth.Manage dashboards for lead-trial-membership conversions, trial activation, churn, and referral funnels.Monitor dashboards, attribution, and scorecards to deliver real-time national and local insights.Partner with BI to implement funnel scoring and verify reporting accuracy.Execute weekly test plans and agile experiments to improve campaigns.Work with the Business Intelligence Architect to enhance dashboard reporting, build new scorecards, and develop targeted segments.Extend monitoring tools to track SERP features, AI integration, search lift, and creator / partner conversions across business lines and franchise development.Attribution & Reporting
Manage attribution governance for Brand Fund and franchise locations, ensuring accurate UTM tracking and data integrity.Administer UTM governance standards, documentation, and ongoing training for consistent tagging across all digital channels.Partner with IT, franchise partners, co-op marketing, and agency partners to ensure tracking infrastructure supports full-funnel attribution visibility.Conduct incrementality testing (geo-holdouts, lift) to validate funnel impact.Ensure consistent franchise adoption of tagging / reporting standards.SEO Strategy & Performance
Collaborate with a digital agency to deploy a zero-click / AIO search funnel strategy by aligning social, SEO, and earned media efforts to create entity-consistent, answer-first assets that appear in SERP features and AI answer engines for all Products & Services and Franchise Development.Implement and refine SEO strategies throughout websites, landing pages, and funnel assets to support organic growth related to Products and Services.Conduct monthly audits and reviews, providing actionable plans for continuous optimization.Develop entity-based SEO practices such as schema, internal linking, and content hubs; work alongside Social / PR teams to strengthen E-E-A-T and increase eligibility for AI / zero-click surfaces within Nutrition, Activewear, BOD, and Franchise Development.Paid Media & AI Integration
Direct paid media campaigns with a focus on optimizing lead generation, cost per lead (CPL), and return on ad spend (ROAS).Incorporate AI tools to enhance personalized acquisition, member engagement, and predictive retention throughout the lifecycle.Conduct data-driven analyses to refine audience targeting and maximize campaign effectiveness.Implement a structured, agile experimentation process—including weekly testing plans, sprint reviews, and creative testing matrices (covering hooks, formats, and value propositions).Retention, Attrition & Referral Campaigns
Build campaigns to reduce early churn, reactivate lapsed members, and increase 90 / 180-day retention.Manage referral campaigns across app, SMS, email, and web; test incentive frameworks for higher referral participation.Align referral funnel with BI dashboards for clear attribution of referred leads and conversions.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with cross-functional teams and agency partners to drive funnel performance.Act as internal subject matter expert on performance analytics and SEO integration.Support governance, education, and adoption of SEO best practices across the broader marketing organization.Tight alignment with Partnerships / PR and Social to connect earned / creator / organic with paid / CRM, sharing narratives, taxonomies, and KPIs by line of business and FD.KEY KPI’s & SUCCESS METRICS

5-7 years in performance marketing, campaign management, or digital media.Performance mindset : demonstrable experience turning analytics into content decisions and rapid iteration.Proven success delivering SEO, paid media, attribution, and funnel optimization.Proficient in marketing analytics tools (DOMO, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau).Experience with predictive analytics and AI integration in marketing.Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication skills.Data-driven problem-solver with excellent analytical and storytelling skills.Experience implementing predictive analytics into top-of-funnel strategy to drive results at scale.Demonstrated success enforcing a zero-click / AIO search funnel strategy with measurable lifts in SERP features, AI inclusion, and branded / non-branded search.Fitness, or multi-location business experience a plus.Agency and vendor management experience preferred.This position description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
