The Configuration Manager will oversee and control the configuration and documentation management processes across engineering, production, and quality teams. This role ensures product integrity by maintaining consistent records of design baselines, bills of materials (BOM), and change control processes for aerospace drone systems and subsystems.

- Key Responsibilities
- Manage configuration identification, control, and auditing for all hardware and software baselines.
- Oversee creation, release, and maintenance of engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and part numbers.
- Administer the company’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and / or ERP system to ensure traceability of configuration data.
- Support the Engineering Change Control process and ensure that all configuration changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure alignment between design intent and as-built configuration.
- Maintain BOM accuracy for aircraft assemblies, subsystems, and components.
- Lead configuration audits during prototype and production builds to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements.
- Support customer and regulatory audits related to configuration control.
- Develop and improve configuration management policies and procedures consistent with AS9100 and ITAR compliance standards.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–8 years of configuration management experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of PLM systems.
- Experience managing complex BOM structures and engineering documentation.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR compliance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or small aircraft development.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
- Certified Configuration Manager (CMPIC or equivalent) a plus.
- Hands-on experience supporting engineering and manufacturing integration.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
