Walsh Employment is hiring : Senior Graphic Designer in Highland Park

Overview Senior Graphic Designer role with an in-house creative team in the wine and spirits industry. Location : Highland Park, IL. This position offers the opportunity to own brand and packaging design projects from concept through production and logistics.

Base pay range $70,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities Lead and deliver impactful design solutions, manage project workflows, and support junior team members.

Take ownership of projects while contributing to the wider creative goals of the team.

Conceptualise, develop, and execute end-to-end design solutions.

Lead project ownership and deliver on-brand, on-time, visually outstanding outcomes.

Champion brand strategies and act as a brand steward.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors (photographers, illustrators, printers).

Support project organisation, planning, and execution across multiple streams.

Provide feedback and critique to elevate team-wide design quality.

Mentor and support junior designers.

Qualifications Minimum 5 years of design experience, including packaging or identity work.

Leadership and mentorship experience.

Degree in Design, Packaging, Advertising or equivalent; BFA preferred.

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Proven creative problem-solving abilities with a strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength and executional excellence.

Clear communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional demeanor.

Comfortable presenting rationale and providing / receiving constructive feedback.

Ability to sketch and visualise concepts effectively.

Demonstrated team spirit and mentoring ability.

Highly organised with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines.

Positive, collaborative attitude with a can-do approach.
