Indirect Tax Operations Support

This role primarily supports indirect tax operations reporting to the Manager of Indirect Taxes, with a strong emphasis on technology enablement and process optimization, while also intersecting with workflows in the area of income tax and broader compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers, and automation tools for tax compliance and audit support.
- Monitor and troubleshoot tax calculation issues across systems and transactions.
- Maintain the Vertex Exemption Certificate Management (ECM) tool, including obtaining updated exemption certificates and collecting documentation required for tax audits.
- Analyze transactional data to identify tax discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support tax technology initiatives and contribute to the transformation of tax processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate sales tax treatment for new products, services, and business initiatives, and ensure proper setup in the company's ERP systems.
- Assist the Tax Manager with the sales tax refund process.
- Conduct tax research using CCH to support tax cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, KNIME) and various automation tools is a plus.Familiarity with tax automation tools (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, Corptax, OneSource) and ERP platforms. SAP experience preferred.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and communication skills.Proven ability to work effectively in team environments, including collaboration across geographic locations.Strong desire to learn and grow within the tax profession.Additional Skills
