Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time position based in Pasadena, CA, for the role of Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager will oversee the overall operation, maintenance, and security of the church's facilities. Day-to-day tasks include routine building maintenance, managing facility systems (e.g., HVAC, electric, plumbing), supervising custodial staff, coordinating facility usage and scheduling, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role involves working collaboratively to maintain and improve the physical space that supports the church’s mission and activities.

Qualifications

• Strong facility maintenance and management skills, including knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
• Proficiency in building safety protocols and security practices
• Experience in project management and ability to coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors
• Organizational and scheduling skills to manage multiple tasks and facility usage effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with team members, volunteers, and external partners
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle emergencies promptly
• Prior experience in facilities management or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with working in a church or nonprofit organization is a plus
