Job Title : Non-OSU Student Assistant

This position is for a community college student currently pursuing their associate degree who will participate in a research internship at The Ohio State University through the Manufacturing and Materials Joining Innovation Center (Ma²JIC).
The internship will run from November through May and is designed to provide the student with hands-on research experience under the mentorship of OSU graduate students and faculty. The intern will contribute to ongoing research projects focused on materials science, welding, and manufacturing innovation. This opportunity will allow the student to strengthen their technical knowledge, apply classroom concepts to real-world research, and enhance their overall workforce readiness.
The position requires approximately 4–10 hours per week of on-site participation at OSU’s Edison Joining Technology Center (EJTC).
Additional Information :
Pay rate : $14.00-$15.50 / hr based on years of OSU experience
