About The Position

Description :

PCU RN position in a general medicine setting.

This is a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of acuity care.

Candidates must be highly skilled, experienced, and flexible.

The nurse-to-patient ratios are 5 : 1.

Floating to other units may be required.

All requests for time off must be submitted upfront.

Travelers are required to work at least one holiday during the assignment.

Compliance documentation will be due prior to the start of the assignment.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.

Daily census for the unit is approximately 27 patients.

The unit is supported by interdisciplinary services including therapy and rapid response teams.

Patient diagnoses will vary, with experience in pulmonary and GI conditions being beneficial.

No specific equipment unique to the unit is required.

Support staff availability may vary.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Familiarity with the required charting system is essential.

Candidates should have experience managing dysrhythmias and using cardiac drips.

This role involves blood product administration and isolation precautions.

The hospital has had a history of treating COVID-19 patients, but current expectations may vary.

All travelers must commit to the starting date upon submission.

Previous employees must have a separation period before returning to a traveler role.

A minimum break of six months applies before reapplying for another full year.

Modules will be required to be completed within a designated timeframe.
