RCM Health Care is looking for a Physical Therapist to provide services to medically fragile students in a Long Term Care setting in Totowa, NJ 071512. There are 8 students who need services, roughly 4-5 hours per week. Services must take place in person at the hospital and all hospital protocols followed. This is a 12 MONTH PROGRAM
QUALIFICATIONS :
QUALIFICATIONS : Physical therapy services are provided by a professional holding a bachelor's or master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited school. The therapist should be licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Physical Therapist and possess School Physical Therapy certifications.
JOB GOALS : To promote the education of handicapped students by :
Providing screening, evaluation, intervention and consultative servicesProviding information to, and establishing relationships with, educational personnel and community agencies regarding total program planning for the handicapped studentPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Identification and Planning
Receives and records initial referral information and requestsObserves referred students as appropriateObtains additional or supplementary information from appropriate persons, available records and / or agenciesConducts screening and / or evaluations using formal and informal testsDocuments, analyzes and interprets dataMakes recommendations for intervention and refers to other services as appropriatePlans intervention goals and activities for individual students and / or groupsCoordinates information and services with school personnel and community agencies2. Service Delivery
Provides direct and indirect physical therapy intervention for individual students and groupsInstructs, supervises and monitors home and school personnel in the therapeutic managementConsults with home and school personnel regarding needs of individual studentsConsults with outside agencies and non-school personnel regarding needs of individual studentsMaintains and documents intervention procedures and results, using forms, records and reports3. Program Administration and Management
Organizes and implements a physical therapy program which addresses educational goals and policiesManages quality physical therapy servicesEstablishes long-range physical therapy program goalsEvaluates and effectiveness of the physical therapy program and makes necessary modificationsManages time efficientlyMaintains inventories of equipment, materials and suppliesAssists in the employment of interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationshipsPromotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships4. Establishes and maintains appropriate record keeping and reporting system
Develops necessary formsKeeps data for program planning, decision-making and program expansionMaintains current administrative files and recordsSafeguards confidentiality of student recordsParticipates in total program planning as central administrative team member5. Education
Provides ongoing information for administrative personnel regarding physical / motor disabilities, physical therapy services and implications for student placementProvides information on an informal in-service education for all levels of educational and support personnelProvides information on an informal and formal basis to parents and non-school personnel regarding physical therapy and educational services6. Professional Growth and Ethics
Participates in professional growth activities and continuing education opportunitiesIntegrates current professional knowledge and skills into physical therapy programAdheres to ethical stands of the physical therapy professionSupports efforts to accomplish the goals and objectives of local education agencyAdheres to established rules, regulations and lawsOther responsibilities as assigned by the SuperintendentLicense / Certification :
CPR Certification (Preferred)
Physical Therapist License (Required)

MUST HAVE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CERTIFICATION
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF WORKING WITH MEDICALLY FRAGILE NONMOBILE STUDENTS
Compensation
$70-$75 / hour - based on experience
