Responsibilities
- The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for all electrical aspects of an assigned project.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and communicate team priorities.
- May be asked to assist with the training and development of team members.
- Knowledgeable with all aspects of MPW equipment and able to create high-level design concepts based on sales level information. Interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
Core Responsibilities
Safety : Follow all safety rules, regulations and ensure all personnel abide by safety guidelines.Design : Lead and manage projects using industry best practices for Electrical Power Distribution Systems (480VAC 3Ph to Low Voltage Control Power), Control System Architecture (Safety, Instrumentation, PLC, and network design), Control Panel Component Selection and Layout, Panel and System Fabrication Shop Support. Validate engineering design deliverables against MPW and Industry best practices.Programming : Develop PLC and I / O programming following MPW's standard practices, including safety considerations. Program new systems from Control Narratives and P&IDs. Validate programs against MPW and Industry best practices.Testing and Quality Control : Develop and maintain MPW testing procedures and quality control standards for complex equipment. Oversee procedures to ensure proper system functionality and high customer satisfaction. Test equipment following developed schedules and communicate testing status to all levels within MPW.Additional Responsibilities : Manage workforce, equipment, and customer relations across geographically dispersed locations. Some non-traditional availability may be required as part of a 24 / 7 service company. Travel to field services sites and customer sites as needed (up to 60 nights travel). Member of the MPW Management Team and facilitate the performance of all MPW members.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with a minimum of 1 year in an engineering-related field.Associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in power distribution, control system design and programming, and control system networking.Practical knowledge in Power and Controls design. Experience with Allen-Bradley control systems preferred. FactoryTalk experience preferred.Practical knowledge of Ethernet I / P Networking.Experience with AutoCAD drafting preferred.Familiarity with NEC electrical codes and compliance.Seniority level
