Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. This opening may be in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program.

This candidate will join the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Segment and be a contributing member of the Software & System Integration (SSI) Weapon System Integration (WSI) team. This multi-tiered and multi-disciplined team assesses design compatibilities across the Weapon System (WS) Segment teams. The team serves as the objective integrators to ensure balanced requirement definition influences design space / decisions that ultimately ensures full-lifecycle capability effectiveness. Candidates must be able to understand the intent of WS design at the highest levels and drive engineering processes & analyses into specific product team designs to prove successful design integration and analyze for potential gaps. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership and foundational systems engineering skills to drive process and technical gap resolution of interface and requirement design solutions to achieve program and contract objectives. Demonstrated ability to foster diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams.

• Demonstrate leadership principles integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc
• Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents
• Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teams
• Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems

This position's standard work schedule is 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range : $95,300.00 - $142,900.00 Salary Range 2 : $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
