The Overhead Catenary System (OCS) Engineer performs engineering duties as a fully competent and experienced engineer in all aspects of Maintenance of Way (MOW), Signals and Traction Power systems.
Duties include working on a range of MOW Signals and Traction Power systems engineering tasks, requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, maintenance procedures, and criteria, and assisting in the resolution of complex engineering, maintenance, planning, and policy issues.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers' experiences and of TriMet's product and service offerings.
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required. .
A minimum of six (6) years of total credited experience.
Six (6) years of experience a a compentent praciticing engineer are required.
Six (6) years of engineering experience in an area directly applicable to MOW signals, OCS and substation systems design, inspection, and manufacturing or maintenance management are required.
A Professional Engineer (PE) License is required within 120 days of the date of hire.

Salary offers will be determined by a candidate's education, training and relevant experience. Any final offer of employment will fall within the range stated above. For transparency, we choose to list the full available grade range, however, TriMet's salary administration process will ultimately determine the final salary offered.
