Clinical Practice Assistant
The position of Clinical Practice Assistant in Providence, RI and Plainville, MA reports into the Clinical Ophthalmology Manager. The Clinical Practice Assistant position will be responsible for providing administrative support to physicians in a high-volume and team-oriented environment in a retinal clinic setting, functioning as the primary interface between patients and providers. Emphasis is placed on the ability to stay organized and to prioritize administrative tasks related to patient care. Role requires management of confidential patient information, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones with the highest level of customer service, checking patients in and out of appointments, collecting copayments, and helping to manage incoming information via phone or fax, triaging and communication with patients regarding follow-up care and results, and managing work queues. We are looking for motivated applicants who can be flexible to work in a fast-paced environment; preference for candidates who are quick learners with excellent computer and customer service skills.
MAAI : Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under close to general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties.
