$2,606 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Occupational Therapist

Profession : Occupational Therapist

Specialty : Occupational Therapy

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8H Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours preferred (8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM)

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state(s) of practice

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Must-Have : Must have appropriate education level in accordance with state licensure

Description :

The Occupational Therapist assesses clients and designs occupational therapy treatments.

They help clients develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives.

The therapist conducts evaluations and provides interventions for clients with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.

Occupational Therapists evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities of clients.

They develop realistic therapy goals and administer appropriate occupational therapy programs.

They document client information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans, modifying them if necessary.

Occupational Therapists provide education designed to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.

They utilize appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations related to the needs of clients.

The therapist demonstrates knowledge of current research in daily treatment.

They may treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders.

The therapist ensures documentation is in accordance with departmental guidelines and meets all regulatory requirements.

They exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules and assignments.

The Occupational Therapist participates in activities to promote the department.

They may interact with providers, case managers, family members, and other organizations.

The therapist may supervise assistants, aides, and students in providing care and treatment.

They perform other related duties as requested by management.

Charting is done via an electronic medical record system.
