Revenue Field Office Clerk

As a Revenue Field Office Clerk, you will have the opportunity to utilize your communication skills as you provide assistance to the public via phone and email. Work includes advising taxpayers or their representatives on the proper manner of completing tax returns as they pertain to personal income tax and the property tax rent rebate program.
Our ideal candidate will be expected to :
Work Schedule and Additional Information : Full-time, seasonal employment, 7.5 hours per day. Work hours are 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work schedule is subject to change based on operational need. Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications : Possession of the required knowledge and abilities : Ability to understand and follow instructions provided orally and in tax booklets, rebate claim instructions, and reference guides, and accurately communicate that information to the public. Ability to file and retrieve information on a personal computer. Ability to keep categorical log records on such information as the amount, type, or disposition of resources.
Additional Requirements : You must be willing to work in the Center City field office, located at 110 N. 8th St. Ste. 204, Philadelphia, PA. You must be willing to work at this location. You must be interested in a temporary position with an anticipated end date approximately 4-6 months after the start date. (May be subject to earlier end based upon operational need). You must provide your date of birth and social security number. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements : This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
