POSITION OVERVIEW
Project Managers (PM) will work in collaboration with our Superintendents, Director of Operations (DOO) and Support Staff.
The PM will be responsible for the successful day-to-day and overall operations of projects, including but not limited to, primary oversight of all construction activities on site, including the coordination, oversight, and management of subcontractors, vendors and Rayco field employees. In addition, the PM will assist Superintendent and DOO with client contact, communication, and relationships.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Oversight of daily construction, on site staff and quality of work. Logging daily progress in companies project management software.
- Oversight of the project schedule
- Ensures day-to-day production is moving forward efficiently in a cost-effective manner
- Monitors day-to-day job site safety, security, and cleanliness
- Oversight of daily subcontractor and vendor performance, workers on site and records hours worked daily for all staff, subcontractors, and staff of subs.
- Coordinates with and documents progress and reports to DOO
- Responsible for project budgets, cost control and project profitability
- Reports any discoveries outside of scope of work (damages, rot, change orders) and provides quantities of labor and materials to perform repairs via change order to the client.
- Reports any issues, delays, accidents or other incidents to HR and DOO
- Immediate on-site point of contact for any emergencies or requests of client or upper management
- Supervises site safety and conducts weekly tailgate meetings with all on site staff
- Records progress, inventory and quantities of materials used
- Responsible for material ordering and / or oversight of, and coordinating deliveries to site
- Some travel may be required as needed
- Submitting and tracking records of all purchases
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills / experience :
5-7 years of hands-on general construction experience, preferably in multi-family dwelling reconstructionHighly knowledgeable in the various construction trades, practices, regulations and safety complianceExcellent and articulate communication skills, with a proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)Preferably bi-lingual but not required (English / Spanish)Maintains a personable, approachable, friendly demeanor with all associates, clients, and colleagues.Maintains a clean, professional, personal appearanceVery responsive and able to multi-task or make changes based on the day-to-day needs of the projectExcellent problem solving and critical thinking abilityAble to read, interpret, comprehend architectural / engineered plans and make necessary recommendations or correctionsReliable transportation (preferably a truck) and a clean driving backgroundThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
