Machine Operator - Job Description

Pay :  From $18.00 per hour

Job description : Overview

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as an Operator. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

A new operator will start in one of four areas of the mill, determined by the needs of the team. The ideal operator will eventually gain the competence to cover all four working areas upon completion of all training. Qualification of each area is rewarded with a pay increase.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment, including mobile equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and / or enter information into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Inspect product to ensure quality standards are met
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Attend your regular scheduled shift without violations including tardiness which at times will include participating in meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and / or pulling, in a loud / noisy, industrial, non-temperature controlled, high-volume environment
