Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Specialist is to acquire and / or Repair material for stock and replenishment to fulfill customer requirements and ensure these parts meet ITS's quality standards.
This is a critical role for the business as it instrumental in the profitability of ITS and reliability to our Customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory requests for stock optimization (Repair vs Buy)
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to support ITS's business goals
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure Purchase / Repair Order compliance
- Analyze stock holdings in global facilities and maintain appropriate stock levels of moving material
- Purchase stock to fulfill customer requirements
- Source supplier and MRO to quality and reliability requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers and MRO's to obtain the best price and terms and ensure quality products are stocked
- Development strategic relationships with potential material sources and MRO's
- Support growth of organizations customer base by ensuring product availability is ready for sale to quickly respond to our customer's needs
- Maintain organizational and operational excellence by upholding company policies and procedures as well as demonstrating a level of professionalism and communication consistent with the expectations of the position
- Increase liquidity by managing your purchased materials and ensuring we purchase at the lowest price
- Aid internal organizations on understanding part availability, market pricing and potential part modifications
- Develop strategies and implement market research activities, including market price and repair averages
- Consistently communicate new information, status on repairs and changes of vendors capabilities to pertinent parties or department
- Support process with vendor approvals and vendor certification update requirements
- Order processing, expediting, and status updates
- Reviewing quotes provided by repair vendors
- Familiarity with Part 43 of the CFRs as well as Order 8130-21
- Become product expert within assigned ATA chapter aimed at increasing the company's knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 2+ years Aviation Experience
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to multitask
- Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
- Develops and maintains strong business relationships
Working Conditions
Some travel required : (5%)
