We are looking for you to join our team as an Engineering Manager level 1 based out of Sunnyvale, CA. This role is responsible for engineering leadership and technical direction to Marine Systems specializing in the development, manufacture, assembly and testing of propulsion and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The candidate selected will apply their skills to support current and future Navy Power & Propulsion Turbomachinery development with an integrated engineering team consisting of a diverse staff of backgrounds in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerothermal, Acoustics, Structural and Systems Engineers.

In this role, the manager will develop and lead a group of engineers through the entire product lifecycle for complex hardware products to support the U.S. Navy. The position responsibilities include management of time keeping, performance reviews, staffing and resource planning, training, and team engagement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in areas of requirements and interface management and verification, design of fabricated and machined components, design of electrical, pneumatic, and / or hydraulic subsystems, CAD modeling / drawing review, and successful execution of technical projects to cost and schedule targets.

Primary Level Salary Range : $129,900.00 - $194,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
