The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day activities regarding the healthcare program for the upcoming open enrollment period. This role will also act as liaison between members and Third-Party Vendors to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans while maintaining a positive relationship with employees.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Administer benefit program by serving as the primary contact to members.
2. Ensure member’s understanding of plan offerings
3. Process enrollment application for new employees joining the Healthcare Plan and process changes to existing members’ plan options.
4. Work with Third Party Vendors (CBA Blue and Benefit Focus) with setting up Healthcare requests.
5. Responsible for setting up healthcare services in SAP.
6. Obtains Employee Census data for Benefit Focus.
7. Prepares Health Plan Confirmation form and forwards to owner or (HR Administrator) for their approval.
8. Assist with resolving benefit issues for members and their employees.
9. Provide support via phone and e-mail.
10. Maintain Health Plan enrollment documents (i.e., Franchisee Owner Group Enrollment application, Participation Agreement and Certificate, Medical and Dental Plan Requirement for Participating Employers, HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, Health Plan Confirmation Form) for Franchisees enrolled in the Healthcare Plan.
11. Ensure Plan Documents are posted on the appropriate portals for Owners and Administrators.
12. Work with Finance team to resolve any billing discrepancies between the Third-Party Vendors.
13. Coordinate open enrollments activities.
