Lab Instrument Support Engineer

Summary :

We are seeking a hands-on Lab Instrument Support Engineer to provide technical support, maintenance, and lifecycle management of laboratory equipment and automated systems. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, documentation, and ensuring the reliability and compliance of a broad portfolio of laboratory equipment.

The ideal candidate will combine technical troubleshooting skills with strong attention to documentation and compliance in a regulated laboratory environment, while also working closely with vendors and serving as liaison between the laboratory and IT to ensure seamless equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide day-to-day technical support for laboratory equipment, including liquid handlers, plate readers, TapeStations, Bioanalyzers, gel readers, and other general lab devices.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and coordinate vendor service visits as needed.

Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors for instrument service, warranty claims, upgrades, and training.

Support the delivery, installation, relocation, decommissioning, or disposal of laboratory instruments.

Provide training to laboratory staff on the proper use and care of instrumentation.

Review equipment maintenance logs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
