Job Summary :

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of a leading diagnostic laboratory to patients seeking essential health testing. This position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, strong customer service, and strict adherence to safety and confidentiality standards. The PSR I collects and prepares quality specimens for laboratory testing, creating an atmosphere of trust, professionalism, and care .

Key Responsibilities :

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection following established safety and quality procedures.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times.

Verify patient identification and ensure specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Display professionalism and empathy during patient interactions.

Support flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.

Contribute to the department’s commitment to Everyday Excellence and patient-centered service .

Required Experience :

Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred .

Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or similar service settings.

Keyboard / data entry proficiency required.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Experience working in a high-volume patient service center or clinical environment.

Background as a medical assistant or paramedic .

Required Skills :

Excellent phlebotomy skills across pediatric and geriatric populations.

Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA only).

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and patient satisfaction.

Additional Skills :

Adaptability to changing staffing and scheduling needs.

Accuracy in specimen verification and data handling.

Team-oriented, customer-first mindset.

Shift / Hours :

Monday–Friday, 6 : 30 a.m.–2 : 30 p.m.

Rotational Saturdays, 7 : 00 a.m.–11 : 00 a.m.
