Manager, Store Maintenance-

JOB SUMMARY :
Cato is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our company stores. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance coordinators, vendor relationships, scheduling maintenance, and handling day-to-day operational issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Proven experience managing multiple locations, vendors, and maintenance schedules across a regional or multi-state footprint
- Management, training and continued development of store maintenance team
- Address daily operational issues such as HVAC maintenance, plumbing issues, equipment malfunctions, etc.
- Be available to respond to emergency calls on nights and weekends as they arise
- Act as the primary contact between Store Planning, Construction, Stores and outside vendors
- Manage relationships with HVAC vendors and various facility service providers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs, quality and cost-effectiveness
- Communicate with landlords and property managers to ensure any maintenance repairs are made according to our lease terms and conditions; setup and maintain procedures to ensure that work and expenses which are the responsibility of the landlord are done and paid for by the landlords
- Maintain accurate billing records and review weekly cost reports to ensure that all repairs are accurately accounted
- Receive and process Capital Authorization Requests (CAR) from the maintenance vendors on repairs or HVAC unit replacements that exceed $5,000
- Train team members on departmental software, energy management systems and Timberline
- Recommend forms, reports and workflows to the Department Director relative to the efficient functioning of the department
- Responsible for monitoring new store development plans and inventories, maintain energy management systems, new HVAC units, alarm, camera and Sensormatic systems
- Maintain facility-related documentation, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance records
- Able to provide leadership, and use motivational skills to foster a team working environment
REQUIREMENTS :
4+ years' experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role, preferably within the retail or commercial industryStrong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; project management tools or platforms for tracking timelines and coordinating tasksKnowledge of Facilities Management software for tracking work orders, vendor management, and preventive maintenance schedulingStrong organization, communication, analytical and development skillsExperience with procurement and negotiationThe Cato Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
