Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to production tasks on a regular basis to meet daily goals.
- Oversees production areas for the shift in the Supervisor's absence and reports production issues to Supervisors and / or Value Stream Management as needed for assistance.
- Reviews hourly sheets, production and materials issues, and provides status information to the Supervisor; takes action to stay on schedule.
- Understands item numbers and OSK information to ensure proper assembly was performed.
- Works with Supervisor, Group Leaders, and other team members to direct employees in daily job tasks to maintain quality and OTS goals following Standard Work.
- Utilizes LDM boards to capture and highlight wins / challenges and escalates to the Value Stream Board as needed.
- Identifies productivity and process yield issues and takes appropriate action to resolve them.
- Trains, cross-trains, and works to Standard Work procedures; contributes to developing standard work where needed.
- Helps all employees understand Omega policies and procedures and raises concerns to area supervisor if violations occur.
- Monitors and tracks open demand, output, and materials using SyteLine and other methods.
- Holds daily huddles for shift handoffs to maintain communication on machine / cell performance within the area; reviews daily plan and provides updates.
- Fills in for other group leaders when needed and supports area processes as required.
- Follows Leader Standard Work database tracking for all Group Leads and works toward weekly goals as directed by the Production Supervisor.
- Communicates with maintenance and engineering support as needed and anticipates future requirements for the area.
- Coordinates with manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and other support functions to resolve KPI concerns within the cell.
- Participates in and leads change in all operational improvement activities.
- Prioritizes 6S safety and housekeeping policies throughout all areas.
- Ensures proper PPE is available and used when required.
- Executes end-of-shift staff and building security checks.
Abilities / Skills Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.3+ years in a manufacturing / production environment.Preferred Requirements
