Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, hands‑on leader to drive the Professional Services organization, leading implementation of Okta services for customers of all sizes. This role blends technical leadership, operational excellence, and customer‑facing delivery responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Technical Consulting with oversight of professional services billings, revenue, customer satisfaction, resources, and utilization.
- Hire, grow, and retain the PS Technical Consulting team focused on customer success.
- Provide direct management, mentoring, and support to Technical Consultants to ensure continuous technical, professional, and career growth.
- Demonstrate and improve a repeatable implementation methodology to enable rapid customer adoption of Okta services.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement within the Technical Consulting practice and across Okta Professional Services and our subcontractor ecosystem.
- Represent Okta Professional Services across multiple engagements and workstreams.
- Ensure customer success from engagement inception to completion.
- Continuously upskill team members to deliver Okta solutions effectively.
- Engage in customer‑facing delivery (approximately 30%) as a player‑coach.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading teams with supervisory responsibilities.5+ years of experience as an implementation consultant delivering solutions to external customers.5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management.Authority in technologies and protocols supporting identity federation and robust access control models (e.g., SAML 2.0, WS‑Federation, OAuth, OpenID Connect).Knowledge of IAM solution providers is strongly desired.Extensive knowledge of enterprise web technologies and security.Ability to work independently and multi‑functionally to support client work.General knowledge of modern cloud architectures and complex enterprise on‑premises IT landscapes.Knowledge of typical enterprise identity lifecycle management processes and standards.Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer engagements.Willingness to be a hands‑on contributor.Experience in process improvement, decision-making, planning, analysis, and developing standards.Preferred : Software development experience (Java, .Net, PHP, REST / JSON, etc.).Desired : Expertise in JavaScript and one of the major MVC frameworks (Angular, Node, React).Travel up to 50%.Communication

Annual on‑target compensation (OTE) for this position, San Francisco Bay Area : $227,000 – $341,000 USD. For other California locations, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington : $203,000 – $305,000 USD. OTE includes base salary, incentive compensation, and applicable equity.
