Job Summary
The QA Tester will be responsible for validation and quality assurance testing of connected vehicle systems, infotainment platforms, and mobile applications (Android and iOS). This position requires hands-on experience with vehicle head unit testing , API testing , and cloud platforms (AWS) . The role involves creating and executing test plans, triaging defects, and collaborating with multiple technical teams to ensure delivery of reliable, high-performing automotive technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, designs, and scripts for validation of connected vehicle systems and mobile platforms.
- Set up and configure test benches, vehicles, and validation environments.
- Execute testing on Android and iOS mobile applications , vehicle head units, and in-car infotainment systems.
- Conduct API and microservices testing (REST, gRPC) hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) .
- Perform defect logging, triage, and root cause analysis , ensuring clear documentation and coordination with stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze system logs from vehicles, communication systems, and mobile devices.
- Create dashboards, test documentation, and reports using Jira and Confluence .
- Participate in troubleshooting, training sessions, and automation documentation as needed.
- Work closely with Platform Engineering and Product teams to support and improve QA frameworks and lower environment testing.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (mandatory).– years of QA testing experience in mobile, vehicle, or infotainment domains.Strong hands-on experience with : Mobile testing (Android and iOS) Vehicle testing and head unit testing API testing (REST, gRPC) Cloud-based validation (AWS required; GCP or Azure preferred)Experience in connected vehicle or infotainment systems validation.Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management .Knowledge of in-car communication protocols (CAN, MOST) preferred.Familiarity with QA frameworks (BDD, TDD) and CI / CD environments.Required Skills
