Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the finishing, final inspection, and preparation for shipping of parts according to work instructions.

Responsibilities :

• Utilize the Plex system to ensure product and procedure accuracy.
• Remove slag using an air gun and mallet.
• Steam clean pieces to ensure they are free from dirt and chips.
• Dip parts in rust remover and oil them prior to packaging.
• Conduct final inspection of parts.
• Band workpieces and prepare them for shipping.
• Build pallets and package boxes for shipment.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of products before shipment.
• Print and label boxes / containers.
• Read blueprints to ensure products are completed accurately.

Work Environment :

The facility currently employs 120 people and is expanding rapidly to add three total shifts. The work environment is loud, dirty, and can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It consists of two separate buildings with larger areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems. The company is actively working to upgrade the facility. Steel-toed boots are required. The first shift runs from 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some overtime opportunities.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
