Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient stock management, conduct regular inventory counts, and support warehouse operations to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Job Summary

Under indirect supervision, independently picks up and delivers a variety of material between facilities and other locations throughout San Diego County. Sorts mail, charts, etc., and delivers to individual departments at each facility. Assumes responsibility for routine maintenance on vehicle and ensures cleanliness is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Client's policies and procedures, principles of responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.
• Deliver and pick up items such as inter-office and U.S. mail, medical office records, X-ray films, pharmaceuticals, laboratory specimens, boxes and equipment between Client's Hospital, medical offices, ancillary / administrative offices and community locations using company motor vehicles.
• Sort and organize all materials to be delivered on assigned runs.
• Be knowledgeable of physical locations, departments and personnel to pick up and deliver to individual departments within the Clinic.
• Maintain assigned motor vehicle in good and safe operating condition.
• Monitor driving condition and appearance of company vehicles.
• Report any vehicle problems and malfunctions to senior / supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance practices on a regular basis.
• Schedule periodic routine servicing through senior / supervisor.
• Keep inside of vehicle clean and free of trash.
• Ensure insurance identification card and accident report forms are in the glove compartment.
• Review accident report form before incident and follow after-accident instructions.
• Relate to others, including patients, in a kind, tactful and diplomatic manner; present a positive image for Kaiser Permanente.
• Answer and respond to incoming phone calls in a manner consistent with quality of service standards.
• Perform other duties as required, including special stops, attending meetings, and following service request procedures.
