Overview
Warehouse and Driver Technician (Class C Non-CDL) is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and projects as assigned. The primary responsibilities are shipping / receiving of orders, quality control, inventory control and other warehouse-related logistics. Additionally, this position involves operating company vehicles requiring a Non-CDL Class C license for delivery tasks. The Warehouse and Driver Technician will report to the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations or the Manager, Warehouse Operations.
Responsibilities
- Inbound / Outbound Order Processing : Accurately receive, ship and label product, pick up product from inventoried locations and pack orders efficiently and accurately for delivery to venues and / or other warehouses
- Quality control procedures and inventory control
- Logistics and Transportation : Prepare and process shipments (small parcel, LTL and via internal fleet); operate industrial powered forklifts (sit-down, reach, stock picker, powered pallet jack)
- Operate company vehicles requiring a Non-CDL Class C license for delivery and transportation of goods
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Safety : Perform daily checklists on forklifts and other equipment; participate in safety initiatives; adhere to safety protocols and transportation regulations
- Warehouse housekeeping : Clean and maintain a safe work area; maintain equipment as necessary
- Customer Service : Maintain high standards of service and operating efficiency; maintain working knowledge of equipment
Job Qualifications
High School diploma / GED1 to 3 years' experience in warehouse environmentValid CDL Class C driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift over 50 lbs independentlyAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong communication skills with team members, site leadership and customersOrganizational skills with attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skills with Microsoft OfficeExperience using an RF-based WMS system (preferred)Experience operating industrial forklift equipmentExperience with DOT regulations and telematics electronic ELD logs (preferred)Work Environment
Work is performed at warehouse and event-venue environments. Irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and / or dust. Working conditions may vary from moderately quiet to noisy. Driving duties involve exposure to various weather conditions and road environments; drivers must follow traffic laws and ensure vehicles are maintained in good working condition. May involve long periods of sitting, loading and unloading materials.
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range : $21.58 - $26.43. Final compensation is determined based on location, travel, relevant work experience, and particular skills. Some positions may be eligible for overtime, bonuses or incentives.
