Our company needs a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our clients’ dreams to life! You’ll serve as an architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with clients, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. Applicants should be experienced design engineers who enjoy highly detailed work, are passionate about working on a project from start to finish, and want to grow their career in the construction industry.
Compensation : $24 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities :
- Utilize computer software to generate 2D and / or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications
- Attend preliminary meetings with the client to understand the project specifications and scope
- Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers
- Communicate progress to superintendents and project managers, so they know when designs are finished
- Use computer-aided drafting software to create and edit detailed schematics and plans for manufactured wood components.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product designers to ensure that designs are accurate and meet the project requirements.
Qualifications :
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture, construction engineering, or similar field is preferredHave great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsExtensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier : Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and LumionMust have 2+ years of experience in architectural designMinimum 2 years of CAD drafting and detailing experience with programs such as AutoCAD, Autodesk, Solidworks, etc. Truss design software experience is a plus, but not required.Collaborative team member able to meet project deadlines and communicate with internal and external stakeholders on progress and information requests.Above-average working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.About Company
