Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Human Resource Coordinator! The Human Resource Coordinator will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including pre-screening job applicants, onboarding new employees, administering Brand required New Hire Orientation classes, answering questions related to employee benefits, enforcing company policies and practices, coordinating employee appreciation events and other tasks assigned by General Manager.

Essential Functions
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn HRIS systems.Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in HR processes and documentation.Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in HR practices.1-3 years of experience in administrative roles with exposure to HR functions, or relevant internships.EEO Employer
