Tester

Job Purpose:

Sets up multiple probe test equipment according to the traveler.

Nature of Duties:

• Loads boards, runs test programs and sort boards by pass/fail status. Attaches machine printout of defect to failed boards.
• Receives boards from previous process and verifies that the count and type of boards match the accompanying batch card.
• Handles boards according to specified procedures.
• Reviews Tester's failed tags of board’s.
• Visually examines the board and schematic to identify circuit patterns.
• Uses continuity meter to check circuit status.
• Identifies and labels circuit defects.
• May take controlled impedance measurements and troubleshoot test system problems.
• Maintains test logs and Monitors test results.
• Follows established SPC reaction plan for repetitive defects. Keeps all charts accurate and up to date.
• Maintains required production logs.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 2-4 years previous manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of one or more Electrical Test machines.
• Ability to perform internal rework on failed PCB’s, is desired.
• Basic ability to perform troubleshooting and rework operations.
• Ability to perform close visual inspections of boards.
• Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to statistical process control and production records.
• Good communication skills. Willingness to learn and work in a PCB manufacturing environment.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as business needs require.

Salary Range(annual): $40,404 - $45,760

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
