Project Manager

Under general direction, plans, directs, coordinates, and administers the project management activities for the Public Works Department including new facility construction and existing road reconstruction; coordinates the resource allocation of construction resources to specific projects; ensures that personnel assigned to projects have the appropriate skills and training; ensures policies, procedures, and guidelines related to construction management tasks are up to date; secures project services necessary to ensure the quality of work, compliance to budget, schedule and documentation requirements, compliance with applicable codes, standards, contract documents, and according to the County's specifications; performs other support functions as directed by the Director of Public Works.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field, and five years of Facility / Road construction management experience for medium to large construction projects that includes overall responsibility for delivery of construction projects, resource allocation, inspection and compliance, and project budget and contract administration and oversight; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
