Responsibilities Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Care for a culturally diverse and high-risk obstetric patient population RNs are required to circulate during cesarean sections Expect to float between similar units and, if needed, to affiliate hospitals within the region Night shift schedule, four 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 00-06 : 30), with every other weekend required Use Epic EMR system No on-call required RNs circulate on cesarean deliveries and care for patients with high-risk pregnancies First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must be willing to work at least two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year A 50-mile radius rule applies for local candidates Return staff must wait a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler Scrub color requirement is any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy, for RNs Parking is free on the first day, with assigned parking provided during orientation Pre-employment and annual training modules must be completed prior to start All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration Requirements Active and valid CA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year Labor & Delivery RN experience required Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required Experience with Epic EMR required Willingness to float between facilities as needed Must provide at least two supervisory references from the last three years within a comparable setting Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634109.
