Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (civil or environmental)
- EI Certification (Engineer in Training) completed.
- 2+ years experience in drainage roadway design
- 1+ years FDOT experience relevant to roadway design.
- Valid Drivers license.

Design roadway drainage systems in accordance with FDOT standards, including cross drains, side drains, storm sewer systems, ditches, ponds, and outfallsPerform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using FDOT-accepted methodologies and softwarePrepare drainage reports, stormwater management plans, and technical documentation for FDOT and regulatory agenciesSupport the development of drainage plans, calculations, cost estimates, quantities, and permitting packagesCoordinate with roadway, structures, and environmental teams as well as subconsultantsAssist in reviewing submittals and providing QA / QC for internal or external drainage workStay informed on FDOT drainage manual updates, regulatory changes, and water management district permitting processes
