Position Overview

Coverage Dates : February 16 23, 2026; additional ongoing dates starting April 2026

Schedule :

MondayFriday : 7 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM (day shift) & 3 : 00 PM 7 : 00 AM (night call)

SaturdaySunday : 24-hour call (7 : 00 AM 7 : 00 AM)

Setting : Inpatient, Emergency Room, Call

Trauma Level : III

Days per Month : 34 weeks of locum coverage per month

Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric

Facility Size : 185 Beds

Reason for Coverage : Gap in coverage

EMR System : Epic

Clinical Expectations

Procedures Required :

EGD

Colonoscopy

ERCP

GI consultation on ED / inpatients

Patient Volume :

23 patients per day needing procedures

23 ICU bleeds per week

Outpatients : None inpatient and ED consults only

Support Staff : RN and X-ray Tech

Anesthesia & GI Nursing : On-call teams available for emergent or urgent evening / weekend cases

EMR Training Requirements

Must complete Epic module lessons prior to attending virtual EMR training

Virtual EMR training must be completed at least one week before start date

First-day details will be released after successful completion of training

Requirements

Board Certification : Gastroenterology Required

License : Active Colorado License or IMLC Required

DEA : Active Required for credentialing (transfer accepted if retained for duration of assignment)

Procedures : Must be able to perform ERCP (must be noted in presentation)
