• JOB DESCRIPTION
• Under general supervision performs a wide variety of moderately complex to difficult tasks in connection with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) implementation and maintenance. - Assists in the design, development and maintenance of the GIS database and its various applications including associated services and maps. - Utilizes Esri editing tools to maintain databases for general data integrity, topical consistency, geocoding, legal descriptions and local and state statutes. - Evaluates and utilizes GIS tools in an enterprise environment, including web and map services to facilitate these tasks. Formalizes procedures and produces accurate and timely reports. - Assists with the management of consultant relationships and monitors project status. - Consults with senior level staff and department managers as necessary. - Performs other duties as assigned.
• REQUIRED DEGREE
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography; Geographic information Systems; Geometrics; Surveying; Geology; Regional or Urban Planning; Landscape Architecture; Environmental Studies; Ecology; Earth Sciences; or Natural Sciences.
