Overview

Philanthropy Proposal Writer at Morehouse School of Medicine. Responsibilities include providing high-quality creative and editorial support to fundraising and alumni activities, developing marketing campaigns, major gift proposals, cases for support, speeches, and other strategic communications for alumni and donors. Reports to the Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Responsibilities

• Writes compelling copy for campaign materials and donor communications, targeting various audiences while maintaining consistent key messages and a distinct tone.
• Develops copy for interactive projects including homepages, emails and online marketing.
• Assists with marketing collateral, invitations, publications, as needed.
• Serves as primary writing resource for executive correspondence and university programs led by Advancement.
• Reviews and proofs materials through final signoff for quality and accuracy.
• Maintains clear, coherent writing and consistent quality.
• Collaborates with Institutional Advancement team to ensure consistent messaging, tone, and content; ensures proper grammar and punctuation.
• Collaborates with designers to ensure copy fits final design; edits as needed for visual success.
