Overview
We are seeking a new Finance Director for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI), part of University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics. The role provides strategic leadership and oversight for the financial management of the organization’s behavioral health portfolio—including the mental health hospital, crisis care center, outpatient behavioral health programs, and other facilities. Reporting jointly to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Huntsman Mental Health Hospital and the Associate Chief Financial Officer of U Health, the Finance Director directs all financial, human resources, and customer service functions within the assigned area to ensure operational efficiency, fiscal integrity, and support for high-quality patient care.
The Finance Director oversees budgeting, accounting, reimbursement, forecasting, and financial analysis, partnering closely with operational and clinical leaders to optimize resource utilization and maintain productivity standards. The role promotes transparency, data‑driven decision making, compliance with financial and regulatory standards, and alignment with system‑wide strategic goals.
